So Far, So Good

Happy Sunday everyone!  This weekend was a little dreary, weather-wise, where I was, but the rain and wind was blowing all the leaves around and I loved it!

Billy’s practice got cancelled on Friday because of the rain and I got out of work a little early, so I headed straight down to CT to hang with him for the afternoon.  I didn’t get a chance to eat my lunch before leaving work, so I stopped at Dunkin Donuts on the way and picked up a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin.  I don’t know what it is about these things; I don’t even really like them all that much, but for some reason, I was craving one all week.

Later on Friday night, we just ran up the street to get Subway for dinner.  I got the 12-inch turkey (with spinach, green peppers, cheddar cheese, black pepper, and red wine vinegar) because it was a $5 footlong of the month, but I could barely eat more than half.  Cade Cod chips on the side, plus two of their delicious double chocolate chip cookies.

Saturday morning, Billy had practice, so I made breakfast for us for when he got back.  I added dark chocolate chips to my pancakes, but left his plain, and we both topped them with strawberries and had bacon on the side.

The food just kept coming later that night when we decided to go out for dinner.  All I knew was that I wanted FroYo so Billy picked the restaurant for dinner… our usual place.

We added some garlic bread to our usual pizza + wings order, not knowing that it would be a massive plate of bread.  Yikes.  But it’s also some of the best garlic bread ever, so we dealt with it…

Afterwards came the FroYo…

One of the biggest differences between Billy and I is in our dessert preferences.  Just take a look at the difference between our two bowls:

He packs his with frozen yogurt and picks just a few candy/gummy toppings, while I put just a little bit of yogurt and pack the rest of the bowl with toppings… always of the chocolate variety.  Opposites attract, I guess. Smile

Since I was basically on a sugar high/in a food coma this morning, I tried to keep things simple for breakfast before I headed to the airport.  I couldn’t decide between cereal and yogurt, so I just went with both.  Hopefully it holds me over for a while so I’ don’t end up loading up on airport food…

Because now I’m currently at the airport waiting to board my flight.  I’ve got a layover in Dallas (I’ve never been to Texas so I’m excited I’ll be able to say I have after today, but Billy says it doesn’t count…) and then I’ll be on my way to San Francisco.  I’ve got two weeks in California for work and I’ve never been to the west coast, so I’m looking forward to it.  So far, things are running on schedule here at the airport, so let’s hope it stays that way.  I’ve got a bag packed with snacks and things to do on the plane rides, so hopefully my day of traveling will go pretty smoothly.

I’ll catch you from Texas, y’all! Winking smile
