My Biggest Dream

Now about that dessert I mentioned last night…
I was going to pop some chocolate chip cookies in the oven, when I noticed I had some pudding cups in the fridge. They were an impulse buy a while back which hadn’t been touched since. In the store, they remind me of when I was younger and one of my favorite desserts was the Worms in Dirt from TGI Friday’s.

Billy used to get the dining hall’s version as a lunch dessert, so I knew he liked it too and decided to go with it. I emptied one pudding cup each into a little dish with a dollop of Cool Whip and a crushed Oreo (plus some extra peanut butter M&Ms for him and milk on the side for me), and voila! Light and delicious!
While I was devouring this sweet treat, we put on TV and I was somewhat intrigued to see that Dancing With The Stars was doing an hour-long recap of the past two weeks of dances. I missed most of the first week and all of the second, so it was nice to be able to catch up without having to sit through four hours worth of commentary, commercials, and extras that I’m not really interested in.
Every season I say I’m not going to watch the show again, but last night I was reminded why I love it so much. I’ll be candid here: it is my biggest dream to be on Dancing With The Stars. If I ever get famous, I am totally calling up the producers ASAP and demanding a spot in the lineup. I’ve always liked to dance – although the closest I’ve ever come to being an actual dancer is doing cheerleading – and I think it would be so fun to get to dress up in those outfits, learn from a pro, and perform on that amazing stage.
I’d pick Derek Hough for a partner since he wins a lot and always makes all of his partners look absolutely phenomenal. (His sister Julianne is pretty awesome, too!)

If he wasn’t available, then I’d go with Mark Ballas because he’s young and his choreography is always so fresh. Even though he sometimes gets in trouble with the judges for it, he always looks like he’s having so much fun!

My third choice? The newcomer, Tristan MacManus.

Okay, enough daydreaming. First I have to find a way to become famous, then I can continue brainstorming my DWTS outfits and routines. If nothing else, my return to DWTS viewing has reminded me how much I miss Zumba – and returning to that is a much more realistic ambition. I used to take Zumba 2-3 times a week, every week, but it hasn’t really fit into my schedule this semester. I’m hoping to change that on Friday though. Do you think anyone will think it’s weird if I show up in an outfit like this?

If I shake it hard enough, I bet no one will judge me…
In keeping with the ABC “reality” TV theme – does anyone watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette? That’s another one I get involuntarily sucked into every. single. season.
But this particular season, with bachelorette Emily Maynard, is going to be pretty cool for me because my sister lives in Charlotte, NC where the show is currently being filmed! She’s actually been to a couple of the tapings and a concert in the city where Emily had a date, and even sent me pictures!
I told her she should’ve sent her pictures to the media because look at the photo on the cover of this magazine I saw at the grocery store the other day:
It’s like whoever took that photo was standing right next to my sister!!
Anyways, as much as I hate to admit it, it looks like I’ll be watching yet another season.
Oh well – there are worse things in life!!
Breakfast this morning, however, was not one of them. Fresh, cool, and delicious: Kashi GoLean Crunch with strawberries, kiwi, and milk. I chopped up the fruit the other night, and it really has saved me some time in the morning. I usually am too worried it will get soggy or gross to cut it up early, but that was not that case at all!
Alright folks, now that I’ve taken time out of your precious morning to shamelessly plug some of ABC’s greatest hits, I’ve got to get to work!
Have a great day!!
