Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats are a breakfast item I’ve seen all over the healthy living blog world.  Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers has a great tutorial on how to make them in many different ways.  The flavor combinations are endless, and they are so easy and convenient since they can be prepped the night before. Also, they are packed with protein and fiber, so they are bound to keep you full all morning!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup + 2 tbsp old fashioned oats
  • 3 oz. Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Mix all above ingredients in a Tupperware container or bowl.  The liquid should be just covering all of the oats.  Cover and store in the fridge overnight.  In the morning, mix in another splash of milk to loosen them up to desired thickness.  Top with toppings of your choice and enjoy!

Some Other Optional Mix-In Ideas:

  • Flavored protein powder
  • Cinnamon (or other spices)
  • Cocoa powder
  • Ground flax seeds

Topping Ideas:

  • Fresh/frozen fruit (berries, bananas, etc.)
  • Cinnamon, cocoa powder
  • Granola, cereal, crumbled muffins

As I said… the possibilities are endless!
